ABOUT FISHES AND HUMANS
Klaipėda Puppet Theatre | Lithuania

A dreamy and elegant flight in the sky, up and down, tearing the sand of the sky, but falling as light as a feather, graceful as the twisting of a fish’s tail in the depths of the ocean. The unique, ephemeral, moment-to-moment movement of large puppets and objects made of polyethylene films will remind some of a flying bird, others – a swimming fish; will take some to the underwater world, others – to the heights of the sky, or maybe – to the sea dwellers diving in the sky’s vaults. And will invite you to see their beautiful, calm, perhaps somewhat sad dance.
Life came from water, therefore man too. If plastic covering the entire ocean and suffocating it easily drives its inhabitants out of their homes, if instead of jellyfish waves wash the cellophane bags, and endangered and extinct fishes in the oceans are replaced by plastic containers, then what awaits man?
