Every child is a little world, worth to value regardless of its racial, cultural and social origin. All these little worlds compose the world. It is important to cherish every little world, so later they cherish and value the world. The idea of the diversity of the world is introduced to baby audience by means of colours and shapes, objects and movements used in the performance as well as specially composed music. The possibility for baby audience to join the action of the performance is important to develop their creativity since very early age.
Kaunas state puppet theatre was established in the middle of the XX century by dramatic actors Stasys Ratkevičius (1917–2010) and Valerija Gruodytė-Ratkevičienė (1916–2004). The rich history of this theatre contains a list of influential directors, artists, actors, set designers and composers, more than 200 names of the plays, around 2000 puppets and more than 17000 staged performances seen by over 2.7 million spectators. Productions of this theatre have also been successfully shown abroad, during many festivals in more than 20 foreign countries. In order to become more modern, open and famous, this theatre pays a lot of attention to audience building by discovering new forms of communication with existing and potential spectators, by developing and strengthening partnerships.
